Arrest Referral Team Leader

Salary range : £30,– £36,per annum

Hours : 35 hours per week

Contract : Permanent

Location : West Midlands (Multiple Sites)

Hybridworking–Home Working, and based within the custody suites throughout West Midlands Police.

Job reference number : Cranstoun work with the West Midlands Police Crime and Commissioner to deliver an Arrest Referral Service to the custody suites of West Midlands Police offering drug and alcohol using offenders the opportunity to break the cycle of substance related crime.

We are looking for a Team Leader to lead our teams based in the custody suites throughout the West Midlands. You will be a competent communicator, with the ability to work independently, and possess excellent organisational skills. You should have experience of supervising workers, and you will also need to demonstrate experience and / or related skills in relation to enhancing services, ideally using innovative and collaborative approaches.

You will ensure service users coming into custody are given the best possible chance of addressing their substance use issues and offending behaviour. You will work alongside community treatment providers to maintain a positive working relationship, as well as West Midlands Police officers and staff to raise awareness of the service.

You will be responsible for ensuring delivery of all elements of our substance use work including case management, needle exchange, naloxone and assertive engagement, as well as other associated duties. You need to have an understanding of the issues faced by drug and alcohol users who commit crime and be dedicated to delivering a service that supports these individuals to address their lifestyle choices.
