Contractor Area Sales Manager - HVAC Solutions

Essential to apply for this role you MUST have the following experience- AHU (Air Handling Unit) - A component in a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system that conditions and circulates air through a building's ductwork.

Location: North-West England (Remote within Region)
Territory: Merseyside, Cheshire, Greater Manchester, West Yorkshire, or Lancashire

A leading provider of HVAC technologies is seeking a Contractors Area Sales Manager to expand its presence within the Building Services Contractor sector — supporting existing customers and driving new business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow a defined territory, working closely with your manager, fellow sales colleagues, and internal support teams to meet annual targets
  • Build lasting relationships with contractors and key stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and long-term loyalty
  • Maintain a healthy project pipeline using CRM software, ensuring accurate timelines and conversion tracking
  • Monitor local market trends, competitor activity, and construction developments, sharing insights with the wider team
  • Promote a full range of HVAC equipment and services, including AHUs, fans, chillers, and FCUs
  • Collaborate across departments to support strategic development and unlock new opportunities
  • Apply field design and equipment selection expertise to support client needs
Candidate Profile
  • Based in Merseyside, Cheshire, Greater Manchester, West Yorkshire, or Lancashire
  • Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or HVAC (ONC, HNC/D, or Degree level preferred), or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of field-based sales experience, ideally within HVAC or building services
  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems and design principles
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and selection software
