Job description

Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager required to join a global leading engineering manufacturer.

The successful candidate will work remotely, covering Scotland, and will promote a full range of pressure and temperature instrumentation, including pressure gauges, pressure switches, sensors, thermometers, and temperature switches.

The candidate should ideally have experience selling or managing key accounts for mechanical, process, or industrial engineering products, particularly instrumentation products such as pressure, temperature, flow, level, or analytical measurement instruments. Full product and technical training will be provided.

Role
  • Manage a portfolio of key accounts across distribution and OEM customers within the mechanical and process industries.
  • Develop new business and grow existing relationships across sectors such as chemical, food & beverage, oil & gas, power generation, and water.
  • Promote a wide range of pressure and temperature instruments, including gauges, switches, and sensors.
  • Maintain and expand sales through product demonstrations, exhibitions, and negotiations to achieve growth targets.
  • Collaborate closely with the Internal Sales team to ensure outstanding after-sales service.
  • Liaise with technical and engineering departments to provide tailored customer solutions.
  • Work remotely, covering Scotland.
Requirements
  • Experience as a Key Account Manager, Area Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Business Development Manager, or Technical Sales Engineer within an engineering or instrumentation environment.
  • Proven experience conducting face-to-face customer visits and managing your own appointment schedule.
  • Ideally experienced in selling or supporting mechanical or industrial instrumentation products such as pressure, temperature, flow, level, or analytical measurement instruments.
  • Determined, enthusiastic, and motivated to grow business across industrial and process sectors.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Willingness to travel throughout Scotland to customer sites.
