Our client is a global leader in creating innovative climate solutions is looking for a talented Area Sales Executive to join their dynamic team in the North UK. This position will suit someone who thrives in a technical sales environment, combining engineering knowledge with commercial awareness to achieve results.

As an Area Sales Executive, you will play a crucial role in identifying and targeting potential customers across various industries, developing and implementing effective sales strategies to drive growth. You will collaborate closely with the marketing team to build and maintain a strong sales pipeline, leveraging your technical expertise to provide guidance and solutions that meet customer needs.

The position offers a flexible work, typically one day in the office and four days in the field, with the option to work from home when required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities
  • Build and nurture relationships with new and existing customers
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet growth targets
  • Keep up to date with market trends, competitor activity and emerging technologies to identify growth opportunities
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline
  • Collaborate sales efforts with the marketing team to maximise impact
  • Offer technical guidance to customers using expert product knowledge
  • Carry out site visits to assess client requirements and recommend tailored solutions
  • Work closely with engineering and project management teams to deliver tailored solutions
  • Deliver prompt after-sales support and solutions
  • Generate comprehensive sales reports and market analyses
Who They’re Looking For
  • Qualification or applied experience in engineering or a related field
  • Proven track record in sales and customer relationship management, preferably within the HVAC or refrigeration industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong customer relationships
  • Ability to understand customer needs and propose suitable solutions
  • Strong self-motivation and target-driven performance, consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Exceptional problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • A valid driver's license
