Sinclair Watt Architects Ltd are seeking an experienced Architectural Technologist or Architectural Technician to join our team on a 12-month temporary contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional with a broad range of project experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality technical drawings, specifications, and construction packages.
• Develop and coordinate detailed design information throughout RIBA Stages 3–5.
• Work closely with architects, consultants, and contractors to ensure design intent and compliance are maintained.
• Prepare and submit planning and building warrant applications.
• Assist in site coordination, technical problem-solving, and responding to contractor queries.
• Ensure all work meets current regulations, standards, and best practices.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Architectural Technologist or Technician is preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge.
• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Excellent understanding of Scottish Building Regulations, construction methods, and detailing.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities within tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
