Job summary

A local authority in England is seeking a Tree Officer for a 7.5-month contract, with a possibility of extension. Qualifications

• Minimum of QCF Level 4 qualification or equivalent in Arboriculture, Forestry, or closely related subject.
• Accredited certificate in professional tree inspection or ability to achieve shortly after appointment.
• Detailed knowledge of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 application to TPOs and Conservation Areas.

Responsibilities

• Administer and determine applications for works to trees protected by TPOs.
• Provide expert arboricultural advice on development proposals concerning existing trees.
• Ensure Council fulfills statutory duties under the Town and Country Planning Act 1990.
