A leading property consultancy in Winchester is seeking an Arboricultural Consultant to join their Forestry and Arboriculture team. This role involves delivering tree condition surveys, developing risk management plans, and advising on tree care while actively seeking business development opportunities. The ideal candidate should have experience in arboricultural operations and be capable of liaising with clients. This is a promising opportunity to develop in a growing team within a dynamic environment.
To work as part of the Forestry and Arboriculture team, providing advice to colleagues within Savills and external clients, on a range of forestry and arboricultural issues. These will include tree risk management and policies, tree safety surveys, BS5837 surveys and the implementation of actions / recommendations. This role will focus more on arboricultural advice, but some understanding of forestry / woodland management would be beneficial. Monitoring of contractors carrying work will require an understanding of arboricultural operations.
The role will involve a degree of business development and seeking out opportunities to work across disciplines, as well as developing further services such as GIS mapping and databases. Based at either Wytham Court, Oxford or Jewry St, Winchester, and sitting within the South / Central region team. Provide advice and guidance for tree safety policy and tree risk management.
In addition to the tasks described above, the job holder may be required to carry out other duties as may reasonably be required from time to time.

The Savills Forestry and Arboriculture team in the South / Central region provides five main client services :
This role will focus on the Arboricultural consultancy service line, delivering tree condition surveys, tree risk management plans, risk zoning, BS5837 surveys, amenity tree care and overseeing the delivery of remedial work. There will be an element of business development to the role and an understanding of woodland management would be beneficial but not essential.
The Oxford role is an extension of the existing Central / South region Forestry and Arboriculture team, which comprises of 11 consultants and our team co-ordinator. The role will be to lead the further expansion of our work and in-time, the team in the Central region.
Part of the role will involve working closely with colleagues in other disciplines such as planning, development, rural management, natural capital and leisure to deliver work our service lines. There will be a need to travel to other offices within the region.
Savills Forestry and Arboriculture provide advice on a wide range of tree management issues, including commercial forestry, woodland management, forestry valuation, arboriculture, new woodland creation and carbon covering properties of any scale, for a wide range of clients from large estate to charities and blue chip companies to institutions.
