Overview

Apprentice Childcare, Gaelic Medium, Sgoil Araich an Taobh Siar (4408) — 30 hours per week, term-time, fixed term. Salary £19,653 per annum, inclusive of £2,003 Distant Islands Allowance per annum.

Responsibilities

• Work towards SVQ Level 3 in Childcare (achievable within 18 months).
• With support, plan a curriculum through the medium of Gaelic to support and guide children's all-round learning and development.
• With support, plan and organise play sessions, taking into account the needs of every child.

Qualifications and requirements

• National 4 qualifications in English and Maths or Foundation Apprenticeship in Children & Young People.
• Ability to speak and read Gaelic is essential.
• Membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme is required for a regulated role with Children.
• The salary quoted is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance.
