Job description

We welcome applications from individuals wishing to become an Apprentice and gain experience in the NHS. You will develop new skills and knowledge whilst working with an established team gaining valuable work experience and a recognised apprenticeship qualification. You will be enrolled with a local education provider and will be required to complete your L2 Customer Service Practitioner Apprenticeship Standard qualification within the duration of the placement. This post will be required to work alongside the Band 4 Medical Secretary to provide comprehensive support to the Senior Management Team and other relevant staff within the department. This will be through supporting the MDT, administering electronic and paper records, typing and other admin tasks. The post holder's main responsibilities will include dealing with telephone enquiries, recording referrals on our electronic system, booking appointments, organising patient's notes in order to ensure our clinics run smoothly, photocopying, filing and general office duties. To support the delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare service, all staff are expected to act as a role model to others in all aspects of their work and consistently demonstrate NNUH's 'PRIDE' values of People focused, Respect, Integrity, Dedication and Excellence and demonstrate behaviours that support and encourage an inclusive culture.

This post would be ideally suited to someone that is looking to start a career in Administration. We are looking for someone that is enthusiastic, works well under pressure, is friendly and approachable and can prioritise their own workload. This role will be fully supported; however there may be a small amount of time that working without supervision is required.
