A local company in Rugby is seeking an Apprentice Accounts Assistant to support the finance team. The successful candidate will maintain accurate sales and purchase ledgers, ensure timely reporting, and assist with various accounting tasks. Ideal candidates will have GCSEs in Maths and English, possess strong attention to detail, and have good interpersonal skills. About the job
  • To maintain the accuracy and timely reporting on the sales ledger and the purchase ledger
  • To ensure that the purchase invoice log is current and any outstanding unauthorised invoices are followed up with the authoriser
  • To post and allocate customer remittances and receipts
  • Credit control administration
  • To perform bank reconciliation and supplier statement reconciliation
  • Assist the Management Accountant with journal postings and reporting
  • Raising sales invoices
