Job summary

A global leader in UV-based technologies is seeking an experienced Application Scientist based in Berkshire. The role involves providing scientific support across various disinfection applications, conducting validation trials, and collaborating with teams to optimize products. A Master’s or PhD in a related field and 5+ years of relevant experience are required. Strong analytical skills and technical writing abilities are essential, with UV technology experience being a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in application science or technical support in a scientific/engineering environment.
• Experience with UV disinfection or photonic technologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide scientific and technical support for customer applications across water, air, surface, and fluid disinfection.
• Conduct laboratory and field-based validation trials.
• Analyse application data and generate insights for product optimization.
• Support new product development by defining use cases and application parameters.
• Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to translate complex science into customer-facing value.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in Microbiology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
• 5+ years' experience in application science or technical support in a scientific/engineering environment.
• Strong data analysis and technical writing skills.
