Overview

Job Title: Application Support Manager

Employer: The King’s Trust

Location: Birmingham, Manchester or London (Hybrid working – minimum of 2 days in the office)

Are you ready to lead the technology that helps transform young lives? As our Application Support Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the systems we rely on every day are effective, efficient, and empowering. You’ll be at the heart of our mission enabling our teams to do what they do best: support young people into work, education, or training.

Location details: Birmingham, Manchester or London with hybrid working – minimum 2 days in the office. Interviews are scheduled for w/c 20th October 2025.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a skilled Application Support team, providing oversight of business-critical platforms.
  • Define team objectives aligned with wider organisational goals.
  • Oversee incidents and service requests, manage system upgrades and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across development, architecture, and third-party suppliers to drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage multiple priorities, lead with empathy, and drive system performance.
Qualifications
  • Strong leadership experience in application support.
  • Deep understanding of IT service management principles such as ITIL.
  • Problem-solving skills, clear communication, and ability to build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Familiarity with CRM, ERP, or HRIS systems, and tools like ServiceNow.
  • Experience in the charity sector is a bonus, but potential, purpose, and motivation are valued.
