Application Support Engineer – Financial Services | Newcastle Onsite, 5 days / week | Linux, Kubernetes, C#, Databases | £80-130K

We’re building out a Level 2 Application Support function to supplement offshore vendor teams (who cover L1). This role is focused on supporting core applications in a financial services environment, providing both technical and business-facing support.

Responsibilities & Experience
  • Provide Level 2 support across Windows & Linux servers, Kubernetes, and C# applications.
  • Interrogate logs and databases to resolve escalated issues.
  • Deliver effective support within a financial services environment.
  • Collaborate with business users, developers, and quants to resolve issues and communicate clearly.
  • Strong customer service mindset with experience in incident/problem management.
  • Background in application support (career support professional, not an ex-developer).
  • Bachelor’s degree from a Russell Group university required.
