Overview

As an Application Support Analyst, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Join a dynamic team at the core of mission-critical operations, supporting bespoke software for the Royal Navy, MOD, and industry partners. This pivotal role drives the success of the Submarine Development Agency and offers a unique career path in defence, aerospace, and engineering-fields that are innovative, impactful, and vital to national security. Day-to-day, you'll provide responsive support to customers by resolving issues, prioritising tasks for effective outcomes, diagnosing application faults, and maintaining clear communication and records to ensure a smooth service experience.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Service Management Team by resolving customer issues and providing timely information
  • Prioritise tasks to deliver positive outcomes and excellent customer experience
  • Deliver prompt and courteous resolutions via phone and email
  • Investigate and diagnose issues across a suite of bespoke web-based applications
  • Record activities and update customers on progress
  • This role is full time 35 hours per week, shifts within 7am - 7pm and is based on site at Babcock Technology Centre.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills
  • Proven experience supporting bespoke, web-based applications
  • Working knowledge of SQL and Oracle databases
  • Familiarity with ITSM tools for incident management
  • Experience with Staffware workflow engine - Desirable
  • Experience with Oracle Webcentre Portal technologies - Desirable
  • The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check security clearance for this role.
