Job summary

Woburn Safari Park - Animal Keeper (Foot Safari)

Location: East Midlands. Closing date for applications: 8th Feb 2026.

The Animal Encounters department is recruiting reliable, confident team members for a fixed‑term zero hour contract.

Responsibilities
  • Work with a variety of species including birds, small mammals, primates, reptiles and invertebrates.
  • Maintain a safe environment for staff and visitors by adhering to risk assessments and protocols.
  • Provide customer‑facing support, including presentation and education on animal welfare & conservation.
  • Work a flexible schedule: 5 days per week, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • Have own transport.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Passionate about animal welfare & conservation.
  • Highly motivated, flexible and committed to Woburn Safari Park’s high standards.
  • Previous practical experience working with a range of animals, preferably in a zoological setting.
  • Age 18 or over.
  • Demonstrable presentation, customer service, education and communication skills, negotiation and problem‑solving abilities.
