The Birmingham Zoo is seeking applicants for an Animal Care Professional (ACP) in the Ambassador Animal Department. Under the direction of the Zoological Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the primary daily husbandry activities of the animal collection in the Ambassador Animals department with a basic working knowledge of animal care and welfare of a large variety of differing taxa including mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates.

The ACP is also responsible for presenting animals and animal programs to the public in a variety location. These activities will assist in presenting to the public an environment that is educational and serves to further the mission of the Birmingham Zoo (Inspiring Passion to conserve the natural world).
