A leading educational institution in Ellesmere Port is seeking an 'Animal Care Lecturer' on a temporary basis for 5 days. You will design and deliver high-quality educational programs in Animal Care, supporting students and ensuring curriculum compliance with regulatory standards. Qualifications

The Role

Our client is looking for an inspired and committed Lecturer to join our team. You will design, deliver, and assess high-quality early years educational programmes, supporting students to achieve outstanding outcomes. You will play a key role in shaping and refining our curriculum, assessment methods, and learner progression pathways, ensuring that courses meet regulatory requirements and embody best practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons in Animal Care across L1 - L3.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on learners' progress; provide timely feedback.
  • Participate in staff development, quality assurance, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Up to date knowledge of the Ofsted and QAA for Higher Education Inspectorate process.
Education, Skills and Requirements
  • Qualified Teaching Qualification, i.e. DTLLS, Cert. Ed/PGCE, or equivalent (or a commitment to work towards in line with contractual requirements).
  • GCSE A* - C in English and Maths qualifications (Grades 9 - 4) or equivalent.
  • TAQA (401 and 402) or equivalent (or a commitment to work towards in line with contractual requirements).
  • Experience teaching within Further Education or similar educational settings
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and current industry practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and classroom management skills
