Job summary

A leading educational organization in the United Kingdom is seeking Marking Examiners to participate in various assessment projects. The key timelines for each of the key activities that marking examiners are involved in are outlined below:

  • Assessment: Core Employer-set project
    • Training dates: Early April – multiple dates available.
    • Standardisation dates: Summer series – Mid to late May 2026 (markers must attend this session).
    • Marking Window: 2-3 weeks in May-June.
  • Assessment: Autumn series
    • Training dates: Late November – Early December.
    • Standardisation dates: 2-3 weeks in December-January.
  • Assessment timing details
    • Duration per series: 1 day meeting each series.
    • Remote meetings: 1-day REMOTE meeting with approximately 3-4 hours of preparation each series.
    • Marking Window flexibility: flexible within the window and dependent on allocation.

The ESP is set and marked by City & Guilds and delivered across a Summer and Autumn series each year. The project is made up of a number of set tasks which all relate to an Employer-set project brief that is different each series:

  • Research
  • Report
  • Project plan
  • Presentation
  • Evaluation
