Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) NHS Trust covers nearly 6,000 square miles of varied terrain, serving a population of more than five million people. We deliver a 24‑hour, seven‑days‑a‑week emergency and healthcare service and employ over 7,100 staff and 1,300 volunteers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and continuously improve efficient office and administrative systems.
- Compile and provide reports on performance and governance monitoring.
- Raise purchase actions, manage receipts and chase/address issues.
- Ensure system compliance with requests, invoices and certificates to maintain up‑to‑date records.
- Arrange and attend meetings, take minutes for Facilities, Ancillary and AVP Management Teams.
- Act as the focal point for coordinating information to support Facility/Ancillary/AVP functions.
- Support estate facilities, ancillary and vehicle preparation through purchase orders, authorisation and pursuance of outstanding orders and invoices with internal and external customers.
- Check invoices from contractors and suppliers for validity and accuracy, apply financial codes and process payment authorisation.
- Manage stock and ordering, including storage of deliveries.
- Establish and nurture good working relationships at all levels and across all disciplines throughout the Trust.
- Maintain current knowledge of developments within the Trust.
- Foster key relationships with Facilities/Ancillary staff, contractors, suppliers and NHS Trust staff.
- Promote and protect equality, diversity and the rights of others, contributing to a fair and just culture.
- Provide information and support to Ancillary & AVP Managers as required.
- Demonstrate commitment to personal and professional development to uphold quality standards.
- Receive incoming telephone calls, manage queries or take messages as appropriate.
- Update and report to clients and contractors on job or project progress and completion.
