We’re hiring an AML Analyst to take the lead on various AML tasks within Stakemate! — ensuring our players enjoy a secure, responsible, and compliant betting experience.

We’re a fast‑growing, UK‑licensed operator that puts integrity and player protection at the heart of everything we do.

💼 About the Role

As an AML Analyst, you’ll be a key member of our Compliance and Player Protection team. Your focus will be on conducting and reviewing Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) checks for high‑risk customers, analysing source of funds (SOF) and source of wealth (SOW) documentation, and ensuring full adherence to the UK Gambling Commission’s AML and safer gambling requirements. Additionally, you will be responsible for other AML tasks like PEPs and sanctions screening and AML customer assessments.

This is a hands‑on, detail‑oriented role for someone who enjoys investigating complex customer profiles, identifying risks, and helping maintain the highest compliance standards.

🎯 Interview Process
  • Intro Call – 15‑minute screening with our Compliance Manager.
  • Technical Interview – Discussion with our Compliance & AML team.
  • Final Interview – Chat with our CEO.
🔍 What You’ll Do
  • Conduct Enhanced Due Diligence reviews on high‑risk customers, analysing financial documents and transaction data.
  • Verify Source of Funds (SOF) and Source of Wealth (SOW) documentation to ensure legitimacy and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain and update detailed customer risk assessments.
  • Identify and elevate potential red flags in line with AML and CDD frameworks.
  • Stay informed on regulatory developments from the UK Gambling Commission and relevant AML bodies.
  • Contribute to improving AML processes and documentation standards.
🧠 What We’re Looking For
  • Must‑Haves:
    • Proven experience analysing EDD / SOF / SOW documentation in a betting, gaming, or financial compliance setting.
    • Strong working knowledge of UK AML and CDD/EDD requirements, including LCCP and Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA).
    • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
    • Comfortable handling sensitive customer data and conducting investigations.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bonus Points For:
    • Experience within a UKGC‑licensed betting or gaming operator.
    • Knowledge of Safer Gambling frameworks and customer risk segmentation.
    • Familiarity with PEPs, sanctions screening, and adverse media reviews.
    • Experience working in a startup or fast‑paced operations environment.
💻 Working Setup

This is a hybrid role in Leeds. For the right candidate we are willing to discuss this, as we are still building out our Leeds base.

You’ll work closely with our compliance and operations teams across the UK and Malta.

As we are active on weekends, this role may require occasional weekend work. Days worked on the weekend will result in a day off in the week.
