A fast-growing betting startup in Leeds is seeking an AML Analyst to enhance compliance and player protection. This role involves conducting detailed assessments and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate has substantial experience in financial compliance, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities. This hybrid position offers competitive salary and progression opportunities in a dynamic work environment.
We’re hiring an AML Analyst to take the lead on various AML tasks within Stakemate! — ensuring our players enjoy a secure, responsible, and compliant betting experience.
📱 Stakemate is a social sportsbook that’s transforming how people bet on sports. Founded in 2022 and named EGR’s Most Innovative Startup, we’re building a more engaging, social, and responsible betting experience for everyone. We’re a fast‑growing, UK‑licensed operator that puts integrity and player protection at the heart of everything we do.
As an AML Analyst, you’ll be a key member of our Compliance and Player Protection team. Your focus will be on conducting and reviewing Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) checks for high‑risk customers, analysing source of funds (SOF) and source of wealth (SOW) documentation, and ensuring full adherence to the UK Gambling Commission’s AML and safer gambling requirements. Additionally, you will be responsible for other AML tasks like PEPs and sanctions screening and AML customer assessments.
This is a hands‑on, detail‑oriented role for someone who enjoys investigating complex customer profiles, identifying risks, and helping maintain the highest compliance standards.
This is a hybrid role in Leeds. For the right candidate we are willing to discuss this, as we are still building out our Leeds base.
You’ll work closely with our compliance and operations teams across the UK and Malta.
As we are active on weekends, this role may require occasional weekend work. Days worked on the weekend will result in a day off in the week.
