Overview

AI / Machine Learning Technical Consultant

Location: Weybridge, Surrey

Contract: 12 Months Fixed Term

Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 (depending on experience)

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced AI / Machine Learning Technical Consultant with 3–5 years of industry experience to design, implement, and advise on intelligent AI/ML solutions that deliver real business value.

You’ll collaborate with international teams to build scalable AI systems, prototype new use cases, and push the boundaries of what’s possible in enterprise AI adoption.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and refine AI solutions including LLMs, retrieval-augmented (RAG), fine-tuning, and prompt engineering.
  • Develop and integrate ML models into production systems across cloud and on-premise environments.
  • Assess business processes and recommend AI opportunities aligned with strategic goals.
  • Prototype, test, and optimise AI applications for performance and scalability.
  • Stay at the forefront of emerging AI frameworks and evaluate their real-world potential.
  • Work with cross-functional and international teams to define AI strategy and roadmaps.
  • Translate complex AI capabilities into clear business value for stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
  • Strong expertise in Generative AI, NLP, and Machine Learning.
  • Proven hands-on experience with LLMs/SLMs (training, fine-tuning, optimisation).
  • Skilled in Python, Java, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with APIs, data integration, and web scraping/crawling.
  • Practical exposure to open-source AI frameworks (e.g. Hugging Face, LangChain) and on-premise deployments.
  • Strong consulting and communication skills.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with cloud AI platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of solution architecture and ML algorithms.
  • Previous consulting or advisory work with international teams.
