Job description

A lovely family based in Chiswick, London seeks an After‑school Nanny to care for their two school‑aged children. The ideal candidate will be calm and patient, yet energetic enough to engage with the children while managing light housekeeping tasks related to them. Responsibilities also include preparing and cooking meals for the children. The role operates on a split‑shift rota, so the candidate should be comfortable with this arrangement. You should be local and not rely on public transport.

A valid first‑aid qualification is a requirement for this position.

Working Hours

Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 6:15 am – 8:45 am and 2:45 pm – 8:00 pm (≈ 28.5 h per week). During school holidays, the hours are 6:15 am – 8:00 pm on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Responsibilities
  • School drop‑offs and pick‑ups
  • Take the children to after‑school clubs
  • Ensuring the safety, well‑being, and development of the children
  • Maintain proper hygiene where needed
  • Preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks tailored to the children
  • Engaging the children in interactive play, educational activities and outdoor outings such as visits to the park
  • Encouraging early literacy by reading books to the children
  • Establishing and maintaining consistent daily routines to support the children’s structure and development
  • Keeping children’s bedrooms and play areas clean, organised and tidy
  • Children’s ironing
  • Cook and prepare meals for the children when needed
