Job summary

A leading UK aerospace manufacturer is seeking an experienced Production Engineer to support product introductions and design changes while ensuring high-quality standards. The role requires defining production methods, developing manufacturing instructions, and identifying process improvement opportunities. Candidates with an engineering qualification and 4-5 years' experience in aerospace production engineering are preferred. This is a challenging opportunity to enhance operational performance and support cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years' experience in production engineering within aerospace or a regulated high-tech manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of technical documentation, process validation, and quality compliance.
• Experience with problem-solving tools (5 Why's, Ishikawa, 8D) and risk management (PFMEA) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production processes, including manufacturing instructions and tooling requirements.
• Support the implementation of design changes and new product introductions.
• Ensure all manufacturing processes meet high-quality standards.

Skills

Proficient in 3D CAD and CAM systems

Strong planning and organisational skills

Strong communication skills

Education

Recognised engineering qualification (minimum HNC)
