Overview

We are looking to recruit an experienced advanced social work practitioner to join our adult safeguarding team or our neighbourhood teams. The ideal candidate will have a passion for social work, enabling effective integrated working, promoting independence through reablement approaches and safeguarding vulnerable adults in Salford. You will be responsible for carrying out social work duties, requiring the highest levels of skills, knowledge, and professional expertise. You will be required to work as part of a team with both your colleagues and partner organisations.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out professional social work duties within adult safeguarding, with a focus on promoting independence and safeguarding vulnerable adults.
  • Work as part of a team with colleagues and partner organisations to enable integrated working.
  • Manage a caseload and offer expert opinion inside and outside the organisation.
Opportunities and Development
  • Opportunity to undertake Practice Educator training and support student Social Workers.
  • Opportunity to undertake a postgraduate qualification and/or role in specialised practice (e.g., AMHP, BIA).
  • Develop the ability to integrate professional knowledge, the views of people using services, and research/evaluation evidence in practice.
  • At experienced level, demonstrate expert and effective practice in complex situations, assessing and managing higher levels of risk while promoting enablement and self-determination.
  • Network and liaise with a wide range of professionals, including at more senior levels.
