The main purpose of an Advanced Practice Podiatrist is to deliver expert, autonomous care for complex foot and lower limb conditions - often within multidisciplinary teams and primary care settings. Their role goes far beyond routine foot care, encompassing clinical leadership, advanced diagnostics, and strategic service development.

Main duties of the job

We're seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Advanced Podiatrist Practitioner to join our progressive multidisciplinary team. This is a unique opportunity to lead innovative foot health services, manage complex caseloads, and shape the future of podiatric care in our community. This role goes far beyond routine foot care, encompassing clinical leadership, advanced diagnostics, and strategic service development.

  • Provide expert assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with complex foot and lower limb conditions
  • Lead on clinical decision-making and contribute to service development
  • Work autonomously and collaboratively across primary and secondary care settings
  • Mentor junior staff and support professional development within the team
  • Contribute to audit, research, and evidence-based practice initiatives
