Job summary

Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our Primary Care team at HMP Wayland, a category C Prison located in Griston in Norfolk.

Salary: Up to £60,000 depending on experience. Shift patterns: Monday–Friday, 8.30am–5pm.

Main duties of the job
  • Provide expert clinical skills and judgement in assessing and managing wide-ranging and complex patient problems.
  • Provide clinical leadership for the mental health team. The multi-disciplinary team includes mental health and substance misuse practitioners.
  • Act as a role model, maintaining professional standards and appearance at all times.
  • Support senior clinicians on site and be part of the daily leadership team, providing clinical input for all patients.
  • Work with the team to ensure patient safety, management of complex cases, and application of up-to-date treatment methodologies.

Qualifications and experience
Essential
  • Registered professional with current registration (NMC, HCPC)
  • Masters in Advanced Practice or equivalent
  • Recognised prescribing qualification
  • Understanding of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Understanding of clinical governance, health and safety, QOF, EBP and national standards

  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development
