Join our team at Sheffield Walk-in Centre as Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) / Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP)

Sheffield Walk-in Centre is seeking an experienced ANP/ACP to join our forward-thinking service. This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of a dedicated and supportive team with a wide range of benefits.

You should have availability for 8 or 10-hour shifts. The specific hours will be based on your availability and include shifts at: 8am - 4:30pm, 2pm - 10:30pm, 8am - 6:30pm, and 12pm - 10:30pm, scheduled on a rota across 7 days.

Role Overview
  • Conduct face-to-face consultations with patients from Sheffield and surrounding areas.
  • Manage acute presentations autonomously; support patients with acute and chronic conditions; refer to appropriate pathways when necessary.
  • Provide patient-focused, evidence-based care; assess, diagnose, plan care, and prescribe medications where qualified.
  • Determine urgency and guide patients to the best care pathways.
  • Support the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.

Candidate Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (NMC), HCPC professional, or Pharmacist.
  • MSc or equivalent in Advanced Practice.
  • Level 7 certification in Physical Assessment and Consultation Skills.
  • Level 7 certification in Minor Illness.
  • Non-Medical Prescribing Qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years post-Level 7 experience in primary or urgent care.
  • Paediatric Level 7 course (desirable).
  • Ability to assess and treat a wide range of conditions.
  • Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a dynamic workload.
