A healthcare service provider in Liverpool seeks an Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join a vibrant team overseeing the care of 1000 men in HMP Liverpool. The role is diverse and includes responsibilities in primary and urgent care, along with opportunities for professional development. Successful candidates will have the relevant qualifications and experience in clinical practice. A supportive onboarding plan and flexible working hours are included.
We have an exicting opportunity for an Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join a multidisciplinary team at HMP Liverpool that oversees the care for 1000 men. The role is fast paced and diverse, whilst incredibly rewarding and interesting. You would be joining a unique Prison Healthcare Service and cover across the different pathways including Primary Care, Urgent Care, Inpatients, Substance Misuse & Early Days in Custody. You would be supported by a large team of healthcare professionals to fulfill your duties, a team that in August 2025 CQC described as "innovative, well led and highly effective."
Due to the nature of the role, the succesful candidate will be required to work three "A-Shifts" a week (07:30-21:00.) Week 1- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday. Week 2- Wednesday, Friday, Saturday.
Upon completion of a supportive onboarding plan, clinically you may cover any of the following:
Primary Care: Morning Clinic, Segregation Rounds, Teaching Workshops, Wing Based Visits.
Urgent Care: Urgent Care Clinic, Emergency Response Team.
Early Days in Custody: Reception/Admissions.
SMS: Supportive prescribing cover once completed RCGP Level 1 Courses.
As a senior clinician you may also chair MDTs and Safety Huddles, and will contribute to key clinical governance forums.
