Overview

We have an amazing opportunity for an Advanced Clinical Practitioner trained in Minor Injuries to join our team at Bracknell Urgent Care Centre and grow in knowledge and experience alongside our local and extended team of clinicians.

Full-time and part-time jobs can be considered. Full-time equivalent for us is 40 hours per week. Shifts are allocated on a rota basis and may vary in length. Shift pattern will be agreed at interview or offer stage.

What we're looking for

Preferably you would be an Advanced Practitioner with evidence of MSc level education, ideally in Advancing Practice / Minor Injury / Health Assessment / Decision Making. Nevertheless, we would also consider applications from clinicians working towards these qualifications or an experienced nurse practitioner within a minor injury or illness / emergency department / primary care setting or who is willing to develop towards advanced level practice. Experience in urgent or emergency care is essential.

You will be supported by a wide network of peers across the group, and will receive training and professional coaching to support with your own growth; allowing you to thrive in your new role.

Working within their defined scope of practice, the post holder works as an autonomous Practitioner to assess, diagnose and plan care for patients; including prescribing of medications where qualified to do so, and where clinically indicated.

Qualifications
  • First Level registered Nurse (NMC, ECP), or ACP
  • MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice or Relevant ANP courses at level 6 or 7, or equivalent in Advanced Physical Assessment skills, Minor Injuries, disease management, etc.
  • A Non-medical prescribing qualification
  • Evidence of continued professional development.
  • Satisfactory DBS clearance
  • Experience in urgent / emergency care is essential
  • Experience of managing acute undifferentiated presentations (desirable)
  • Ability to triage (desirable)
  • Understanding of autonomous practice within a minor illness / urgent care centre and the roles that deliver this
  • Salary : dependent on experience; for part-time hours, salary will be calculated pro-rata
About Bracknell Urgent Care Centre

We operate out of a modern, purpose built facility with free parking and excellent transport links. BUCC offers a high standard of unscheduled care from early morning to late evening for patients attending with a wide variety of undifferentiated conditions. The centre is staffed primarily by our team of experienced Clinicians with additional support from other clinical and non-clinical members of staff. Within our Bracknell Urgent Care Centre we are building a well-established team of Salaried GPs, ANPs, and Practice Nurses.

Location: Brants Bridge, Bracknell RG12 9RT
