Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Glasgow is seeking an Advanced Apprentice Pipefitter. You will manufacture and install pipe spools, receive hands-on training in engineering documentation, and collaborate with Engineers and Welders. Job title: Advanced Apprentice Pipefitter

Location: Glasgow

Salary: Starting from £18,667 with annual progression through the scheme duration.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Hands‑On Experience: Manufacture and install pipe spools for various applications, including main engine fuel lines and drainage systems, both in a fabrication workshop and on‑board ships.
  • Technical Proficiency: Receive comprehensive training in reading and interpreting engineering documentation, including Isometric drawings and technical specifications from the design team.
  • Collaborative Work Environment: Collaborate with Engineers and Welders to produce high‑quality finished components, ensuring efficient and safe connection of pipes.
  • Safety and Equipment Training: Learn to operate equipment safely, gaining valuable experience in welding processes, specifically T.I.G welding.
  • Adaptability in Challenging Conditions: Develop skills to work effectively in difficult environments, maintaining quality and safety standards during installations.
What Qualification Will You Get?

  • National Certificate in Welding & Fabrication
  • (Optional Higher National Certificate in Fabrication, Welding & Inspection)
