A leading health organization in Wales is looking for a flexible Administrator/Receptionist to join their Cath Lab and Cardiac Physiology team. The role involves providing excellent customer service and effective administrative support in a busy environment. An exciting opportunity has become available to join the Cath Lab and Cardiac Physiology administration team at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd as an Administrator/Receptionist. The successful applicant is expected to be very flexible, have a pleasant personality, a positive approach to their work, excellent customer service and communication skills, advanced reception skills and the ability to deal with sensitive matters and highly confidential patient information. Applicants must have a good standard of education, be adaptable and have good organisational skills. The post holder will provide first‑class administration support to the department.
Work in pressised environment to provide a professional, accurate and prompt administrative function to facilitate the delivery of an efficient and effective booking service for a variety of diagnostic clinics. Use own initiative in sometimes complex situations to ensure that patients are booked in line with local and national access targets. Deal with sensitive and confidential issues relating to Cardiology affecting patients, the public and staff according to guidelines. As a member of the Administration Team, a flexible approach to the post is essential to enable prioritising the different workloads and duties. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to carry out duties with tact, diplomacy and sensitivity, particularly where there are barriers to understanding. Make sound decisions and judgements using initiative and level of authority as agreed with Line Manager. Knowledge and understanding of the structure, policies, management and operational procedures within the department and the Health Board as required in order dealing with internal and external enquiries in a competent and confident manner.
