Overview

As the largest Cellular Pathology department in the country, we’re looking for talented people to join our diverse teams on our Wythenshawe Hospital and Oxford Road Campus sites. Provide a comprehensive administrative service to one or more Consultants, their Medical Team, Consultant Biomedical Scientists and Senior Management Team.

Responsibilities
  • Deal with incoming and outgoing correspondence, administering multidisciplinary meetings, and uploading and downloading reports.
  • Responsible for supporting the tracking of patients within Histopathology and/or Cytology, identifying long waiting patients and progressing these to ensure all national and local targets are met and KPIs are met.
  • Collect and record a wide range of data and will work collaboratively with clinical teams, to ensure patients are progressed in a timely manner.
  • Utilise the Trust IT systems to access data and external systems, including Hive, as well as other identified data platforms, to record all information on patient tracking.
  • Identify best practice and develop working practice for the Consultant and Senior Management Team, to deliver an efficient and effective administration service.
  • Prioritise and organise their workload with the Team Leader and/or Administration Manager to ensure that an efficient and effective service is provided.
  • Act as first point of contact for all forms of communication for the Consultant and their team.
