A local health board in Llanelli seeks a motivated individual to join its pharmacy homecare team. This role involves managing prescriptions and providing clerical support for the effective running of the homecare service. Candidates should have strong organizational and communication skills, with a high standard of general education. While previous experience in pharmacy management is not required, an enthusiasm for learning is essential. Bilingualism is valued, and English and/or Welsh speakers are encouraged to apply.

The provision of medication via the homecare route is a growing service, which provides benefits to patients and clinicians alike. We are seeking an individual who is motivated to deliver a high quality service and to support its evolution.
You will be based within the pharmacy homecare team at Prince Philip Hospital, Llanelli and develop close working relationships with patients, service providers and clinical teams.
The role will include clerical and administrative tasks to support the day to day running of the homecare service for the Health Board. You will be responsible for the management of prescriptions for patients receiving their medications via the homecare route, maintaining accurate records and resolving queries.
In addition you will be expected to work closely with finance and procurement teams ensuring timely processing of orders and invoices, provide data for invoicing of high cost medicines and liaise with clinicians to ensure homecare prescriptions are provided in a timely manner.
The successful candidate must be proficient in the use of a computer, have proven organisational skills, the ability to prioritise their work and have excellent communication skills.
Previous experience of working within Pharmacy Medicines Management or Homecare is not necessary, however enthusiasm for a new challenge and a willingness to learn are key.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
