Howden, Corporate & Commercial are on the hunt for an Administration Assistant to help with day-to-day tasks in the office. We are looking for a bright, personable, self-motivated individual for this entry level role. You will be supporting a team of Account Handlers to provide clients with appropriate advice and a quality service to meet their insurance needs.

This position is ideal for a recent school or college leaver looking for their first career opportunity. We will provide you with all the training and support you need to learn our business, gain recognised industry qualifications and progress into an Account Handler role.

Please note this is a full-time, permanent opportunity. You will be based in our Croydon office and ideally be onsite for 3 days per week on average.

Overview
  • Assist in handling and directing incoming calls and emails.
  • Ensure records are kept up to date.
  • Follow up on outstanding requirements from client questions to ensure they are actioned by an appropriate team member.
  • Deal with the post on a daily basis.
  • Distribute post to the correct people within the business.
  • Help keep a clean and tidy office.
  • Perform ad hoc work as requested.
Knowledge
  • A minimum of 12 months' experience in an administrative position.
  • A school/college/university leaver looking to start a career in insurance.
  • Knowledge of all Microsoft packages.
