Overview

Position: Administration Assistant

Hours: Full time (36 hours per week, term time plus 3 weeks). Part time/flexible working considered.

Salary: Scale 4 Points 7 – 10 (FTE £30,288 - £31,611)

Wandle Valley seeks an enthusiastic and proactive administrative assistant to join the school team. The successful candidate will be keen to take on challenges and develop their core skills. The ideal candidate will have experience in administrative support.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support and assist with daily school operations.
  • Communicate effectively with pupils and staff, including those with different cultural, physical and social needs.
  • Work with computer databases e.g. Arbor and use ICT tools including emails, websites and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Be aware of the schools Safeguarding Policies and Procedures and their implications.
  • Collaborate effectively with a wide range of colleagues and work on own initiative or as part of a team.
  • Display professionalism and flexibility; recognise when to seek support and advice.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Sound knowledge of computer databases e.g. Arbor.
  • Excellent ICT skills including emails, websites and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with pupils with different cultural, physical and social needs.
  • Aware of safeguarding policies and procedures and their implications.
