Job Summary

Castle Gardens Surgery is seeking an experienced, part‑time Acute Practitioner on a permanent basis working two days a week to assess and manage patients requiring urgent, same‑day care. This position is well‑suited to an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Practitioner, Registered Nurse seeking leadership and career progression, or a Paramedic.

Job Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patients presenting with urgent, same‑day concerns.
• Provide care including arranging investigations, making referrals, and prescribing medication as appropriate.
• Manage the administration generated from clinical work, including reviewing results such as swabs, with support from the GP team.

Person Specification – Qualifications (Essential)

• NMC registration or equivalent.
• Minimum of degree‑level education or equivalent.
• A minimum of 3‑5 years post‑qualification experience.
• Proven experience in urgent care / same‑day care & treatment.
• Proven experience in patient care and team management within a clinical setting.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families and team members.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
• Non‑medical Prescriber.
