We'd like you to join us as an Activities Coordinator at our service Murdostoun in Wishaw. We have an exciting opportunity for an Activities Coordinator to join our friendly and experienced team working within our Neurological Care Center. We provide individualised assessment and intensive rehabilitation to help people recover from a brain injury. At all times we work to achieve the best possible outcomes in terms of independence and quality of life. Murdostoun Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre provides specialist care for up to 46 residents at any one time. We have a minibus for appointments and some fun outings and a state-of-the-art therapy pool, which allows our residents to focus on re-gaining cognitive abilities that may have been lost. A specially designed therapy kitchen allows users to learn new skills that will serve them long after they have left our care. We also have a gymnasium where all residents are encouraged to keep themselves active and socialise with others. We are extremely proud to be accredited as an approved provider of specialist Brain Injury Care by the Headway Brain Injury Association.
36.25 hours per week
Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm
Occasional Saturday or Sunday
To be considered for this post candidates should have a flexible attitude and wholly adopt a person-centred ethos and show empathy and a desire to make a difference, have a full driving licence for car and minibus, experience is preferred
