We are currently looking to recruit an Acoustics Consultant to work near Walton on Thames for an independent engineering consultancy.

As an Acoustic Consultant you will help their clients navigate their requirements around noise and vibration management in their project's built environment, industrial noise, HVAC acoustics, or ensuring regulatory compliance.

Every project is an opportunity to blend science, engineering, and design work alongside an organisation that prioritises innovation and environmental responsibility.

You need to be degree qualified, associate or full membership of the Institute of Acoustics and have at least 1 years' working commercial experience in Acoustics.

Responsibilities
  • Undertaking noise and vibration surveys, noise impact assessments.
  • Supporting junior staff.
  • Writing technical reports.
  • Using noise modelling software to predict noise from complex environments.
  • Project management.

Our client is seeking a creative and talented individual, who has excellent communication skills and is able to connect with a wide range of people. You need to have a pragmatic approach to problem solving and have a good knowledge and understanding of legislation and guidelines affecting acoustics, noise and vibration such as BS 4142, BS 5228 and PPG24.
