ACE Tutor - Gosport

Overview

We are searching for a compassionate, dedicated ACE Tutor who can be a true champion for every child. This role is about breaking down barriers to learning and showing young people that their potential is limitless when they have the right support behind them.

Contract: Part time - October '25 start

Contract Type: 9 month contract - Potential to become permanent for the right person

Salary: £82.20 - £110 per day

Responsibilities
  • Champion pupil premium students by supporting their academic progress and wellbeing.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with students and their families.
  • Provide targeted academic support through mentoring, tutoring, or small-group work.
  • Support pupils' emotional and social development to build resilience and confidence.
  • Identify and help address financial, relational, or school-based barriers to learning.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and external agencies.
  • Monitor and track student progress, contributing to personalised support plans.
  • Promote an inclusive, aspirational learning environment for all pupils.
  • Contribute to strategies that close attainment gaps and raise student outcomes.
  • Engage in professional development to continually improve practice.
Qualifications & Skills

  • Good literacy and numeracy (GCSE English and Maths or equivalent).
