Salary: £28,000 to £32,000

The Role

As part of a collaborative and supportive finance team, you'll play a key role in managing the company's credit and collections processes. You'll ensure timely customer payments, maintain accurate records, and help drive continuous improvement within the AR function.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactively monitor customer accounts and ensure timely collection of outstanding debts.
  • Chase overdue invoices via phone, email, and written correspondence.
  • Resolve invoice and payment queries efficiently and professionally.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of communications and transactions.
  • Assess the creditworthiness of new and existing customers.
  • Collaborate with the sales and finance teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Prepare regular reports on aged debt and cash collection performance.
About You
  • Previous experience in a credit control or accounts receivable position.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability.
  • Confident using Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (experience with ERP systems advantageous).
  • A proactive, positive team player with a commitment to excellent customer service.
