Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Team Leader to join our growing finance team. In this role, you will lead and support a team responsible for the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring timely, accurate payments and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the end to end accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices in accordance with company policies.
• Supervise and support a team of AP specialists, providing coaching, performance management, and development to ensure delivery against KPIs and service level expectations.
• Act as a point of escalation for complex AP queries and discrepancies, collaborating with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, serving as one of the primary contacts for AP-related queries and ensuring excellent supplier experience.
• Identify, propose, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and control within the AP function.
• Ensure adherence to relevant accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Deliver regular reporting and analysis of AP metrics and insights to senior leadership, supporting data-driven decision-making.
• Provide operational support to the Head of Accounts Payable on strategic initiatives and day-to-day activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and AP best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem solving capabilities, with a proactive approach to issue resolution.
• Proven track record of managing multiple priorities and delivering results in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP and accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Navision).
• Experience driving process improvements and leading change initiatives within finance operations.
