Accounts Assistant (12 Months FTC) | £27,000- £29,000 | Blackburn | High Growth SME | Flexible Working Patterns & Great Benefits

Axon Moore is working in partnership with a high-growth SME based in Blackburn who are looking to expand their current finance function by adding an Accounts Assistant on a 12 month fixed term contract with the possibility of the role becoming permanent. As Accounts Assistant, you will work with a supportive team leader who cares for your professional development and assist the finance controller directly.

This position provides training from the team leader, however an ideal candidate will have at least 2 years' experience working within a similar finance role and also be proficient in Excel.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Processing invoices for purchase and sales ledger
  • Processing bank payments
  • Processing receipts & matching to invoices
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Processing refunds
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Month end reconciliations
  • Other ad hoc administrative duties as needed
Required Skills and Experience:
  • 2 years' experience within a finance role
  • Proficient in Excel
  • An ability to meet deadlines and efficiently prioritise workload
  • Positive and can-do attitude with an enthusiastic approach to work
  • An ability to work collaboratively and independently
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Great written and verbal communication
