Job summary

A temporary staffing agency is looking for an experienced finance professional to join their team in Anglesey. This role involves processing accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining financial records. The ideal candidate will have previous accounts experience, strong IT skills, and a positive, team-focused attitude. The position is full time, paying £13.47 per hour, with the possibility of extension.

Qualifications

  • Experience in finance and accounts is a must.
  • Familiarity with accounting software is essential.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Desirable: Welsh speaking.

  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.

  • Administer the Deputy and Appointee services.
  • Liaising with internal departments for smooth financial operations.
  • Managing petty cash disbursements.

Looking to join a busy, supportive team where you'll gain valuable experience across all areas of finance, all while contributing to the smooth running of the organisation? This role offers the chance to broaden your accounting knowledge and play a key part in a friendly, professional team environment based in the heart of Anglesey.

Responsibilities
  • Processing accounts payable and receivable transactions
  • Ensuring all suppliers are paid accurately and on time
  • Ensuring the collection of service income is completed correctly and promptly
  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving invoice queries
  • Liaising with internal departments and external contacts to ensure smooth financial operations
  • Assisting with the administration of the Deputy and Appointee service
  • Assisting with the administration of the Direct Payments service
  • Managing petty cash disbursements and maintain related accounts for the department
Qualifications
  • Previous accounts and finance experience
  • Strong IT and accounting systems knowledge (Microsoft Excel, Sage, Xero)
  • Organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-focused attitude
  • A positive outlook and behaviours that reflect a professional, supportive working style>
  • Welsh Speaking is Desirable but not essential

This is a Temporary full time role, working 37.5 hours per week (9am - 5pm Monday to Friday) for minimum of 3 months with the possibility of an extension for the right candidate. In return you will receive an hourly pay rate of £13.47 per hour including holiday accrual. Based in their modern offices in Llangefni.
