Role: Accounts Assistant

Location: Huntingdon

Hours: Part time 16-20 hrs per week

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 pro rata

We're looking for a highly organised Accounts Assistant to join a small business in Huntingdon, taking on a wide range of responsibilities. This is a hands‑on role where accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to meet accounting deadlines are essential.

What will you be doing in the accounts assistant role?
  • Sales and payments reconciliations using Sage 50
  • Credit control
  • Setting up new clients on Sage
  • Raising credit notes/refunds
  • Purchase ledger – Inputting Supplier invoices – Sterling and US Dollar
  • Banking
Experience / qualifications required
  • Previous experience in an accounts role
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to self-check work
  • Comfortable working to deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
  • Proficient with MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Experience with Sage 50
  • Highly organised, proactive and able to manage your own workload
  • Driving licence and own transport required due to location
