About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail‑focused Accounts Assistant to join our finance team at a prestigious luxury hotel in Cambridge. This role blends operational finance duties with administrative coordination, offering a unique opportunity to contribute across multiple departments and support the smooth running of the hotel's financial operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Invoice and Purchase Ledger Support: Process daily invoices, manage outstanding purchase orders, issue receiving reports and assist departments with invoice queries and training.
  • Revenue and Audit Tasks: Reconcile daily revenue and payments, review discounts and allowances, manage car park and EV charge postings.
  • Accounting Support: Support POS/PMS reconciliations, produce daily reports focused on hotel revenue generation and profitability, handle cash counting and reconciliation, manage petty cash and float checks, prepare change orders and support month‑end balance sheets, track hours worked, monitor clock‑in issues, analyze payroll costs and provide insights into labour efficiency and F&B performance.
