Job description

We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting team supporting UK-based clients. The role involves managing end-to-end accounting processes, ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards, and delivering high-quality client service in a fast-paced BPO environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.
  • Fulfill bookkeeping requirements as needed.
  • Process payroll in compliance with HMRC requirements.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns, PAYE, and other HMRC filings.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet and P&L statements.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with UK taxation laws and guidelines.
  • Assist with internal/external audits and compliance requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with clients via email, calls, and meetings to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and uphold client confidentiality.
  • Identify process improvements and support automation/efficiency initiatives.
  • Analyse MI data to detect trends and suggest improvements.
Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Fully or partially qualified in CIMA/ACCA.
  • 3-4 years of accounting experience, ideally with exposure to UK accounts.
  • Proficiency in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with client-facing experience.
  • Ability to work accurately under deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable using online platforms.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborative team player with a can-do attitude.
