Overview

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Weybridge

Pay: £12.21 - £14.95 Dependant on experience

Hours: Monday to Friday Days

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team. This role plays a key part in ensuring our financial processes run smoothly and efficiently. If you're confident with Sage 50 and understand core accounting principles, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce accurate weekly sales invoices and process purchase invoices.
• Manage client queries by working closely with the Client Services Manager, Operations, and Transport departments.
• Reconcile and file manpower hours in chronological order.
• Process bi-weekly payment runs efficiently and on time.
• Match invoices with timesheets, making necessary deductions.
• Manage bank payments and reconciliations.
• Gather data from all departments to generate accurate invoices.
• Produce weekly and monthly financial reports, post information to Sage 50, and check for accuracy.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in Sage 50 is essential.
• Solid understanding of accounting procedures including use of nominal codes, raising credit notes, producing statements, and payment allocations.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• ACA qualification or equivalent (preferred but not essential).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
