Overview

Account Manager - Perth. Working for the world's leading sustainable building materials company. Permanent, full-time position based in East Perth. Holcim Australia and New Zealand is a leading supplier of cement, aggregates, ready-mix concrete, and engineered and pre-cast concrete solutions.

Holcim offers a generous salary package including 14% superannuation, a fully maintained vehicle and Sales Incentive Scheme. The role provides an autonomous position with a supportive management team, realistic targets, and a culture focused on recognizing effort and rewarding achievement.

Responsibilities
  • Build relationships and identify opportunities to supply construction materials.
  • Generate and convert new leads.
  • Build brand loyalty and maximise revenues.
  • Develop and maintain a structured customer contact plan within allocated accounts in line with budget targets.
  • Maintain and enhance positive working relationships with assigned customers to build loyalty.
  • Identify and follow up all new business, product and/or project opportunities within the existing customer base.
  • Resolve customer issues, disputes and/or complaints promptly and professionally (onsite and offsite).
  • Enrol relevant internal staff and define accountabilities to resolve issues satisfactorily.
  • Proactively promote the full product and service range within the territory to maximise opportunities.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date customer database.
  • Understand market changes, trends, opportunities, risks and competitive activity in the territory.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with relevant internal staff that impact the customer experience.
About you / Qualifications
  • Proven experience in B2B sales, ideally within the Concrete / Construction / Building Materials sector.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport.
  • Ability to put together solutions that add value for customers.
  • High proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP and other systems required to do the role effectively.
  • Experience in dispute resolution and claims management.
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Understanding of the importance of and ability to communicate and build relationships both externally and within the business.
