This growing UK Publicity team is looking for a passionate, driven account executive to join DDA.

DDA is a leading global creative marketing and strategic communications agency working in the entertainment and brands spaces. With offices in Los Angeles, New York, Dubai and London we offer a bespoke service and truly global reach for festivals, networks, platforms, producers, distributors, financiers, government organisations, and brands.

DDA provides creative and insightful strategies, tailored campaign solutions, and a ‘round-the-clock’ service across all the agency’s lines of business, which includes US and UK Film and Series Campaigns, Strategic Consumer and Corporate Communications, Influencer management, Social Media, Design, Creative Studio, International and Festival publicity, Live Event Production and Awards.

About you

You should be a self-starter and have the ability to support in the management of clients for a portfolio of accounts.

As Account Executive, you are an ambitious and proactive member of the UK Publicity team and are responsible for assisting the team as directed in all aspects of client servicing and events. You’ll support the Account Manager and Account Director on ad hoc administrative tasks and general correspondence to ensure the smooth running of UK Publicity functions. You’ll create and manage databases, media lists and editorial calendars, as well as drafting press releases, generating press clippings for corporate clients and festival films, and tracking social media content streams and trends.

Key responsibilities

Client relationships

  • Assisting the team as directed in all aspects of client servicing
  • Assisting on-site at screenings, premieres, junkets, festivals and client events
  • Supporting on managing the account’s budget and invoicing the client
  • Keeping in contact with the client at all stages of the campaign

Strategy and commercial awareness

  • Tracking publicity items in newspapers, trades etc.
  • Following and reviewing industry news and press daily
  • Tracking social media content streams and trends
  • Providing research support for new business pitches
  • Developing connections with journalists and media sources, contacting the press over the phone and via email
  • Attending group brainstorms and new business development meetings

Delivery

  • Creating and managing databases, media lists and editorial calendars
  • Generating press clippings for corporate clients and festival films
  • Coordinating the assembly of press kits
  • Drafting releases for review by the team

People

  • Manage the internship programme, and manage the interns with clear instruction and strong delegation skills
  • Work alongside Junior and Senior Account Executives, as well as supporting the Account Managers and Directors
  • Maintain professional manner and demonstration of strong work ethic towards account teams and company as a whole
  • Be approachable and professional at all times and positively contribute to the team environment
  • Inspire your colleagues to push themselves and lead by example
  • Champion the importance of teamwork and motivate others around you

Knowledge, skills and experience

  • Previous experience in working in a fast-paced environment
  • Experienced in assisting and supporting a wider team
  • A passion for learning, and getting under the skin of, client businesses to give them the best possible outcomes
  • Ability to multi-task and stay organized to meet multiple deadlines across a variety of projects
  • A team player, willing to share knowledge and discuss approaches and tactics but also able to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
