Are you passionate about sport? Fuse is looking for a talented PR professional to work across key sport projects in our current client portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver best-in-class PR campaigns for major brands, alongside a brilliant team of communications specialists who consistently deliver award winning work for their clients.
The successful candidate will be joining a creative and dynamic team and supporting on on-going projects. Main day-to-day responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Develop relationships with junior journalists, leveraging connections for media sell-ins
- Manage the process of creating media lists for press sell-ins using our Roxhill Database
- Play a pivotal role in the sell-in process, communicating via email and phone with journalists
- Lead the creation of coverage reports, curating coverage clippings and reach figures
- Stay connected to the news agenda, proactively sharing relevant stories with the wider team
- Proficiently craft photography/video production briefs with shot lists, wardrobe, branding
- Effectively manage photographers and video crews on shoots to capture required outputs
- Build relationships with photographers & production crews to leverage for content creation
- Stay up to date with celebrity culture, particularly in sports and entertainment
- Support the team in talent management on the ground at events and activations
- Craft talent briefing documents in preparation for activation moments with talent
- Monitor news stories that might impact our client's reputation in a crisis comms scenario
- Actively contribute to PR brainstorms by sharing insightful ideas and perspectives
- Contribute meaningfully to brainstorms outside their client mix, adding value to the business
- Manage relationships with PR suppliers across all projects
- Maintain a robust contact book of relevant suppliers for PR projects
- Provide support for media management during on-the-ground activations
You should have strong people and project management skills, excellent attention to detail and be confident when liaising with clients & media. You will have experience selling-in stories to the press and will have started to build a network of contacts. You must be a competent writer with the ability to communicate coherently via email with clients. You'll understand the sports and consumer media landscape, how to deliver live PR activation, how to work with talent, and how to deliver robust coverage reports. You will have relevant experience working either at a PR and communications agency (applicants from non-sport PR agencies are welcomed), in-house at a sports media outlet, at a sports team press office, or a sports rights holder. * Relevant experience in PR, communications and media * Proven track record in selling-in PR campaigns that drive positive brand coverage * Versatile personality with strong communication skills * Experience in managing email comms with clients, suppliers and press * Have been exposed to working with sports talent, influencers and/or brand ambassadors * Experience managing client relationships and fielding day-to-day client needs * Growing book of media contacts across broadcast, print and digital media * Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task & work at a pace * Experience in managing budgets and financial processes You need to have the ability & willingness to work flexibly, usually in the London office, with occasional UK travel, on-site at events and some weekend work. This is a full-time role & you must be eligible to work in the UK.
